I wore this to Georgetown's Fashion Art + Design (FAD) event on Saturday and received so many compliments. Everyone was surprised to hear that the dress is from H&M (recently purchased) and so is the skirt underneath (last worn here) that I added for a little extra oomph. One person even said, "You should just tell everyone it is Lavin!". I loved that! The dress is a very similar cut to the dress I wore in my "Textured Style" post but in black neoprene. Even with the addition of the skirt the dress is very simple so I added some fancier shoes from Off Broadway. What do you think? Should petticoats come back in style?
